A full range of home-style comfort awaits you, beginning with the resort’s luxurious rooms, premium pillow-top beds, fine linens, cascades of pillows, and down comforters. Expansive bathrooms feature roomy closets and mirrored washbasins with granite countertops, a glassed-in rain shower, plush bathrobes, deluxe bathroom amenities, and, of course, a hair dryer. For keeping in touch with the folks back home, all the resort’s accommodations offer cozy table desks and sitting areas, featuring a telephone with voicemail, and wireless and Internet access. For entertainment or keeping up with the news, flatscreen televisions with satellite service are conveniently located in each bedroom and in all gathering areas in the resort.

Nestled in the very heart of the plantation resort and located directly adjacent to gorgeous Lake Obo and Ryan’s River sits elegant Honey Lake Lodge. Enjoy every conceivable comfort in the 800-square-foot Premiere King Suite complete with kitchen, bar, living-room area, and adjacent master bedroom. This gorgeous suite is suitable for the most prestigious VIP.

If you don’t need a full suite, you might opt for one of the five spacious Luxury King Guest Rooms in the 3,600-square-foot lodge. These spacious bedrooms are indeed fit for a king.

Heart pine floors, cypress walls, and a magnificent “pecky-wood” cypress ceiling adorn the lodge’s magnificent gathering room. The lodge has its own spacious full kitchen, breakfast counter, and wet bar. Sit in one of the many rocking chairs located on the three covered porches surrounding the lodge and enjoy your morning coffee while you soak in the natural beauty and panoramic views encompassing the lodge. And after a fun day of adventure, lighten up, unwind, and enjoy an icy cold refreshment as you recount the day’s activities. Or if it’s peace and quiet that you desire, there’s nothing quite like being left alone to your thoughts as you stare into a crackling fire in the lodge’s mammoth stone fireplace or in its outdoor fire pit. The lodge comfortably accommodates 12 adults.

If more privacy or additional space is required, you might prefer one of the resort’s five charming plantation-style cottages. Boasting over 1,600 square feet of living space, they offer two spacious Premiere Double Queen Lakeview Suites. Both bedrooms have luxurious private baths, elegant double queen beds, televisions, and nighttime reading lamps. Each cottage has its own large gathering area with sleeper sofa, lounge chairs, table desk, breakfast bar, refrigerator, microwave, television, and two covered porches. There are adjacent fire pits for outdoor enjoyment and relaxation around a campfire.

Five Pines cottages offer incomparably breathtaking, panoramic views of pristine Honey Lake, and all the cottages are within easy walking distance of the resort’s fabulous amenities. These spacious accommodations are the epitome of luxury.

Each cottage offers four queen-size beds and a queen sleeper sofa, and can comfortably accommodate eight adults (10 with queen sleeper sofa).

If your desire is to relive days gone by and you want to know what it was really like to stay at Honey Lake Plantation “back in the day,” you should opt to stay in the original Pansy Ireland Poe cottage, which sits directly on Honey Lake proper. (A few limited opportunities do actually exist!)

The three-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot cottage’s totally glassed living room offers the very best views of Honey Lake. It boasts its own private fishing pier & boathouse, a lake-view arbor sitting area, and a massive brick fire pit and barbeque combination. Just a stone’s throw away you can enjoy nature’s awesome splendor by taking a hike through the middle of a cypress swamp on the Honey Lake boardwalk. The cottage remains today much as it was when it was originally constructed in the early 1900’s and we can only dream about its rich history. If only its walls could talk!
